On February 26th, the TV drama "Northbound" jointly produced by Xi Venture Capital and managed by the Jiangsu Grand Canal (Wuxi) Cultural Tourism Development Fund (Limited Partnership) officially announced its release - it will be on CCTV-1's prime time slot on March 3rd and simultaneously broadcast exclusively on iQiyi's entire network.
The drama was approved in the Wuxi National Digital Film Industry Park and is adapted from the award-winning novel of the same name by Xu Zechen. It tells the story of a group of young people who grew up on the banks of the Grand Canal, pursue their ideals along the river and head north, and then return downstream to build their hometown. It blends the ancient charm of the canal with modern vitality, and the delicate narrative and social insights complement each other. Currently, the platform has exceeded 1.5 million reservations.
